Korea’s November Tourist Transport Discounts: What to Check Before Booking

Compare Korea’s November tourist taxi and bus discounts, with Incheon and Andong examples, booking limits, extra costs and checks before paying.

A sightseeing bus through Incheon's old port area and a private car for a day in Andong solve very different travel problems. Both appear in Korea's current tourist-transport promotions, but the discount, departure point and included services need a closer look before you book.

The useful news for November visitors: the Korea Tourism Organization's tourist taxi and city tour bus campaign is scheduled to run through November 30, 2026. Selected services offer 50% off, with limits and product-specific conditions. We checked live listings and found both half-price bus tickets and a taxi tour advertised at 40% off. Start with the journey you want, then check the price for your date.

Sources checked November 7, 2026, Korea Standard Time. Prices and availability can change. Our checks covered public campaign pages and booking options, not a completed purchase.

What the November promotion covers

The Korea Tourism Organization's announcement identifies three participating channels: HopnHop, GoHanpass and NAVER Maps. It describes a promotion for international visitors booking eligible tourist taxi and city tour bus services, with an overall period of July 13 to November 30, 2026. NAVER joined from August.

KTO also says a maximum discount applies and that each platform can finish early depending on availability. Its announcement does not give one numerical cap for every booking. The exact product, remaining promotional allocation and platform conditions therefore matter more than the headline percentage.

For a November trip, treat this as a reason to compare supported sightseeing services. It does not establish a general reduction in metered taxi fares. An ordinary taxi hailed on the street or requested through another app has its own fare and booking rules. Our guide to taking taxis in Seoul covers that separate everyday journey.

Also distinguish the campaign's end date from the dates shown on an individual product. A tour may continue to be sold after November, while the promotional allocation ends earlier. Conversely, a November campaign does not mean every route operates on November 30. Check your actual travel date before arranging the rest of the day.

Where to look for an offer

HopnHop's bus and taxi campaign is a useful place to start because it puts the participating products together. At our check, it showed a November 30 end date and warned that the promotion was available for a limited number of bookings. Its listings included Seoul, Incheon, Andong, Daegu, Hwaseong, Suwon, Sacheon, Busan and Jeju.

The percentages varied. The Incheon City Tour Bus showed 50% off, the Andong tourist taxi showed 40%, and several longer chauffeur services showed smaller reductions. Those are listing snapshots, not a promise of the same price for every vehicle, passenger category or departure.

NAVER's Korea on Your Wheels page currently advertises up to 50% off and displays August 1 to November 30. It separates city tour buses from private taxis and links to individual booking pages. Open the relevant product to check the service, date and conditions. The campaign banner by itself does not confirm an available reservation.

GoHanpass is also named in the KTO announcement. We did not independently verify a current discounted product there for this article, so we are not recommending a particular GoHanpass fare or claiming that its promotional allocation remains available.

If NAVER's reservation process is unfamiliar, our NAVER Booking walkthrough for foreign visitors explains account and verification steps. Check the booking page's own requirements rather than assuming all three platforms work the same way.

Incheon: a bus ticket for an independent day out

The Incheon City Tour Bus listing offers a useful example of a small saving with a straightforward purpose. At our check, its selectable option was the Retro Line, advertised at 50% off. The November 14 option showed separate adult and concession fares. We checked the selectable date and passenger categories, but did not make a purchase or confirm a reservation.

The page describes the Retro Line as a circular sightseeing route serving places including Chinatown, Sinpo International Market and the Open Port Area. That makes it worth comparing if you want a day exploring Incheon's historic districts rather than arranging several separate transfers.

Pay attention to the option selector. The descriptive page also discusses an Ocean Line and a combined ticket, but we only found the Retro Line selectable during our check. Do not assume that everything mentioned in a product's general description is available for purchase.

The listing says the ticket is valid on the selected date, rides are first-come, first-served, and the service is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. It allows up to three business days for confirmation. In particular, this is not a good basis for promising yourself a last-minute departure before the booking is confirmed.

Meals, attraction admission and transport to the departure point are excluded. Look at the current stop information and timetable before choosing where to start, and leave enough time for the journey back. A low bus-ticket price is only one part of the day's cost.

The product's cancellation policy currently gives a full refund three or more days before the tour, a 70% refund one or two days before, and no refund on the day. Recheck the displayed terms when purchasing, including the cutoff time. These conditions belong to this listing, not to the entire KTO campaign.

Andong: a private taxi for places spread farther apart

The Andong Tourist Taxi Tour illustrates why the percentage should not make the decision for you. Its current listing shows 40% off, rather than a half-price offer. It identifies the promotion as a partnership with KTO.

The advertised service is a five-hour private taxi with a driver, for one to four passengers in a sedan. Suggested courses include Hahoe Village and nearby heritage stops, Dosan Seowon, or downtown Andong and Wolyeonggyo Bridge. There is also an option to discuss a customized route.

This is the kind of service to compare when the places you want to visit are separated by substantial travel time. A couple or small group can consider the vehicle cost alongside the convenience of keeping the same car between stops. That does not mean all of the suggested sights fit comfortably into five hours. Choose a coherent course and confirm the realistic timing.

The meeting point is listed as KTX Andong Station or Andong Bus Terminal, by arrangement. The taxi operates within Andong. You must plan the journey to Andong separately; this product is not a private transfer from your Seoul hotel.

Fuel is included, while parking, meals and entrance fees are excluded. Overtime charges may apply. Ask for the charge and how it is calculated before extending the route. If you have luggage, a stroller or particular mobility needs, confirm the actual vehicle arrangements rather than treating a four-passenger capacity as a guarantee that everything will fit.

The listed refund terms differ from the Incheon bus: a full refund three or more days before, 70% one or two days before, and 50% on the day. Read the current policy carefully. The provider also asks customers to keep their contact details correct and says it prefers WhatsApp for communication.

Compare the whole day, not just the saving

Before opening a booking calendar, decide what you want the transport to accomplish. Are you trying to see several distant attractions, reduce the number of changes between buses, or simply take a relaxed sightseeing loop? A discount is useful when the service fits that plan.

For a solo traveler whose chosen places sit along one sightseeing route, a bus can be a sensible starting point. A private vehicle becomes more interesting when several people share the cost or when the route is difficult to connect independently. Compare the actual total and travel time for your party rather than assuming one option is always cheaper.

Keep the pricing unit clear. A bus listing can price each passenger separately, while a private-car product may price a vehicle or a specific package. Select the correct number of people, vehicle and duration before comparing totals. A calendar's lowest “from” price can refer to a concession category rather than an adult ticket, as our Incheon check demonstrated.

Also separate a driver from a guide. Before paying, confirm what language assistance is offered and whether the price includes guided explanations at attractions. If the description leaves that unclear, ask the provider. A comfortable ride and a guided history tour are different services.

Before you pay

Choose the exact date and option first, then read the amount that will actually be charged. Check the currency, passenger or vehicle basis, extra charges and cancellation terms. If the discount you expected is not reflected, resolve that before payment rather than assuming a refund will follow.

Next, establish the pickup point, departure time and booking status. Save the confirmed voucher and the provider's contact instructions somewhere you can access easily. Keep an offline copy of the meeting-point address, including its Korean spelling when the provider supplies it. A screenshot of the payment alone may not contain the details needed to board.

Finally, check the opening days of the attractions you plan to visit. A transport booking does not guarantee that every museum, heritage site or shop on your wish list will be open. Leave room for lunch, walking between stops and the return journey.

There is still time to use November's promotion, subject to the remaining allocation. The best booking is the one that makes a day you already wanted easier to organize. Pick that day, check the current product and let the discount be a useful extra.
