1. Scope

This Policy applies to personal information handled through our website and related communications with PIN-AGENCY KOREA. If you continue a conversation through Instagram, KakaoTalk, email, telephone, or another third-party service, that provider’s own privacy policy also applies to its platform.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you use the website, we may collect:

• Contact details, such as your name, email address, and telephone number.
• Inquiry and reservation information, such as the service you are interested in, preferred date or time, visitor or business category, and the message or other details you choose to provide.
• Communications you send to us through website forms, email, Instagram, KakaoTalk, or telephone.
• Technical and usage information, such as IP address, approximate location, device and browser information, pages viewed, referring page, session information, and interactions with website links or forms.
• Newsletter and reader contribution information, such as your question or story, any optional display name and country/location, an optional follow-up email, your publication permission, and your separate newsletter signup choice. If you choose newsletter signup, we also collect a valid email address, signup date and source, and the wording or version of your subscription consent.

Please do not submit sensitive personal information unless it is necessary for your request and we have specifically asked for it.

3. How we collect information

We collect information directly from you when you complete a form or contact us, automatically through website technologies such as cookies and analytics, and from the communication platform you choose when you interact with our account.

4. How we use information

We may use personal information to:

• respond to questions and provide requested assistance;
• discuss, arrange, and administer services or reservations;
• communicate about an inquiry and provide customer support;
• review reader questions and stories and, with publication permission, edit and publish them in Korea Inboxed’s newsletter and website using any supplied display name/location;
• send Korea Inboxed to people who choose to subscribe, including the first issue and future editions, and manage their subscription preferences;
• operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the website;
• understand website traffic and how visitors use our pages and contact options; and
• comply with applicable law, resolve disputes, and protect our rights and users.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use inquiry details for unrelated promotional marketing without an appropriate separate basis or consent.

Reader contribution forms require publication permission, initially unchecked, allowing Korea Inboxed to edit and publish the question or story in its newsletter and website using any supplied display name/location.

Newsletter signup is a separate optional choice, also initially unchecked. A contribution alone does not subscribe you; email is optional unless you choose newsletter signup.

5. Legal bases

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we process personal information based on your consent; steps taken at your request before providing a service; performance of an agreement; our legitimate interests in responding to inquiries, operating and securing the website, and improving our services; or compliance with legal obligations. You may withdraw consent at any time, but withdrawal does not affect processing that occurred before it.

6. Cookies and analytics

Our website is built and hosted with Webflow. Webflow may process technical data needed to deliver, protect, and operate the site and its forms.

We use Google Tag Manager to manage website tags and Google Analytics 4 to understand visits and interactions, such as page views and clicks on contact options. Google Analytics may use cookies or similar identifiers and may receive technical and usage information from your browser. Our consent controls keep non-essential analytics blocked until you choose “Accept analytics.”

You can reopen the website’s privacy choices through “Cookie settings” in the footer and choose “Reject non-essential” or “Accept analytics.” You can also manage cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some technologies may affect website functionality or measurement.

7. When we share information

We may share personal information only as reasonably necessary with:

• service providers that support website hosting, forms, analytics, communications, and business operations, including Webflow and Google;
• the relevant platform when you choose to contact us through Instagram, KakaoTalk, email, or telephone;
• professional advisers, insurers, or transaction partners where appropriate and subject to safeguards; and
• public authorities or other parties when required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, and security.

Service providers may process information only for the services they provide to us or as otherwise permitted by their terms and applicable law.

8. International processing

Some technology and communication providers may process or store information outside the Republic of Korea, including in the United States and other countries where they operate. Privacy protections may differ by location. Where required, we use appropriate contractual or other safeguards for international processing.

9. Retention

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your request, provide services, maintain appropriate business records, resolve disputes, and meet legal or regulatory obligations. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.

For newsletter subscriptions, we retain your email address while you remain subscribed, including during preparation for the first issue. If you withdraw consent, we stop newsletter sending to that address. We may retain a limited consent or unsubscribe record where reasonably necessary to honor your request or meet applicable obligations.

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of your personal information; object to or restrict certain processing; and withdraw consent. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

You may also choose not to provide optional information, although this may limit our ability to respond or arrange a requested service.

Newsletter signup is voluntary. Korea Inboxed is preparing its first issue; signup records are currently collected through Webflow, with no newsletter delivery provider connected. You can leave the early-bird list before launch by emailing hello@pinagencykorea.com. Once newsletter sending begins, each edition will include a way to unsubscribe.

11. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures designed to protect personal information. No website, transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

12. Children

Our website and services are not directed to children who cannot lawfully provide their own consent. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate authorization, please contact us so we can review and address the matter.

The website may link to third-party websites and services. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, and we encourage you to review their policies before providing personal information.
